点评:We’ve been to Roses 1951, a brand new dining experience, at Walkers Nurseries in Blaxton, Doncaster. The cafe bar is named in honour of Lawrence and Vera Walker, who began growing roses here, over 70 years ago. The bar serves coffee and pastries in the morning, and small plates and sharing platters in the afternoon, all paired with selected wine, beer and cocktails.
We opted for a Mediterranean and a ploughman’s platter (they each serve two people), together with some hummus and tapenade, all served with crusty sourdough bread. I had a pot of decaf tea, while the others shared a bottle of Viognier which apparently complimented the meal very nicely!
Everything was delicious, but especially the chutneys and cheeses, and the presentation was excellent! I suspect this may be one of our regular dining options in the future!!
