点评:This is a beautiful, peaceful, unspoilt golden sandy beach with rocky outcrops, which is around 5 miles south-east from larger Fraserburgh beach. It has a very serene atmosphere, and is dog-friendly.
Walking northwards , parallel to the golf-course, you’ll come across the harbour with its semi-circular old harbour , and a reinforced breakwater comprised of cement blocks, that served as coastal defences during World War II. There is also an old concrete war bunker to investigate further up the beach.
Lots of seabirds to be seen perching on the black rocks, and very interesting bedforms causing undulating sand ripples and sea-water rivulets. If you venture southwards the beach is backed by hillocks of grassy dunes along the way towards Peterhead.
There’s a small carpark beside the entrance of the beach - but no other facilities, which is part of its charm.
