点评:This tour was frankly one of the best I have experienced, after having visited previously (before Covid).
The meeting at Steward Observatory was a great addition, as the time spent talking to Chase was so very interesting. He spent the time explaining so much about the telescopes, how they work and the differences between land based and launched telescopes.
After the introduction time, we then walked over to the Mirror Lab for the physical tour with Will and Adrian. It was very well done and informative as well. Getting to see the actual "mirrors" in various stages of work was amazing. We actually saw one that they were polishing on our last visit a few years ago.
All of our guides did a wonderful job.
If you have some free time, I highly recommend spending some time on the U of A campus with Will, Chase, Andrew and Adrian.
You won't be disappointed!
