点评：Emberton Park celebrated its 60th anniversary this year and had a number of activities planned to commemorate the event. This was England's first country park on the site of a former gravel works which provided much of the base for the M1 construction.
Entrance fee of £5.50 (per car) is good value for money given the facilites which include pretty good roads around the park, a number of footpaths through nature areas and plenty of kids play parks, making it a great place to spend a few hours and let the youngsters and pets loose.
With numerous lakes and plenty of wildlife, watching the sailing and feeding the ducks and geese is always popular.
No BBQs permitted but with a café serving snacks and hot drinks beside the Car Park and the ability to take a picnic with tables and seating dotted around the grassed areas, you won't be wanting for food.
Be aware, though, that service can be a bit haphazard when busy, especially in busy periods.
A popular location for the Cities of Milton Keynes, Bedford and Northampton not to mention the towns and villages surrounding it.
