Castle Dome Mines Museum & Ghost Town的点评
点评：Only there for two days for an event. We had some down time and visited the Frontier Prison which was next to our hotel. That was really interesting and the docents were knowledgeable and enjoyed interacting with us. There about 2 hours. Wasn’t crowded so that was good too. Loved seeing the bats! Nice the staff leaves them be. Went to visit the Colorado River museum but they were closing in an hour so we ended up chatting to the gentleman (Bart?) behind the counter. He was fascinating with all the information about the natural world in his state. Nice nature center too!
There is a lovely walking area next to our hotel with many historical plaques to read. And it’s paved too, however our nice stroll through quickly ended when we found there were many vagrants living there in parked vehicles. Area smelled of urine and it had a very unsafe vibe. All of this is next to our hotel Hilton Garden Inn and near the old town area. Lots of vagrants there as well stumbling around.
