Title: Two Games at loanDepot park — Great A/C, Good Food and a Few Helpful Tips

点评：My wife and I spent two days at loanDepot park this past weekend watching the Dodgers take on the Marlins. Unfortunately, our Dodgers managed to lose both games, but attending games on consecutive days gave us a pretty good opportunity to experience the stadium.
We used Uber from our hotel. The designated rideshare pickup area is East Lot 1 at 1380 NW 6th Street. Drop-off was fairly easy, but leaving after the final out was another story. Expect a crowd of people waiting for Uber, Lyft, Waymo, taxis, and other rides. Staff did a good job calling out passengers’ names when their rides arrived, but there isn’t much protection from the weather while you wait.
One improvement I would suggest is adding an overhead cover to the rideshare pickup and drop-off area. Some shade and protection from the rain would make a big difference when waiting for a ride, especially with Miami’s heat and unpredictable weather.
My wife used a clear bag Saturday and switched to a small clutch-sized bag Sunday, which was allowed through security. The current policy permits clear bags up to 16”x16”x8” and small clutches up to 6”x8”. There are also four garages and six surface lots around the stadium for anyone who would rather drive.
Once inside, the air conditioning is a huge plus. The stadium stayed very comfortable, which makes a major difference in Miami. Everything we saw was clean, and there was a nice selection of food beyond the standard ballpark choices. My wife had BBQ pork nachos Saturday and a chicken arepa Sunday, while I went traditional with a hot dog, popcorn, and soda. There’s also a 50/50 raffle.
We experienced two different seating areas. Saturday we sat on the lower level underneath speakers. Between the speakers and crowd noise, the volume could get uncomfortable at times. Sunday we had field-level seats without speakers overhead, which was much better. However, the sightline toward second base could easily be blocked when someone in front stood up or even leaned forward.
One nice feature of our field-level seats was being able to order food and drinks directly from the seats. It’s convenient, but keep in mind you’re paying an additional premium on top of already expensive stadium food and drinks.
We purchased our tickets through SeatGeek and had no problems.
Overall, I’d give loanDepot park 4 out of 5 stars. It’s clean, extremely comfortable thanks to the A/C, and has a solid variety of food. I’d recommend checking your seat location carefully, allowing extra time if you’re using rideshare after the game, and being prepared for the weather while waiting for your ride. Adding a covered rideshare waiting area would be a great improvement to the overall fan experience.
And if you’re a visiting Dodgers fan, hopefully your team has better luck than ours did this weekend!
