点评：We did a catamaran charter in the BVIs this summer. We decided to start the trip several days early on the island of St. John. The issue we faced was getting from St. John (USVI) to the marina on Tortola (BVI)… while there are ferrys running everywhere through the VIs, there are no direct ferry’s from S. John to Tortola… go figure. The only viable option (we thought) was taking a ferry back to St. Thomas, and then catching another ferry from there to Tortola… a 1/2 day wasted, and we still needed to get through customs/immigration on Tortola, then a cab to the marina. Enter Seahorse Water Taxi!
I’ll say up front it’s pricey… but, a boat picked us up at a dock on St. John, took us to the customs/immigration office in Soper’s Hole on Tortola, then directly to the marina, where we were dropped off on the dock next to our charter boat. We didn’t even get out of the boat at Soper’s Hole, the captain took our passports and was in and out in 5 minutes. What could have taken 6-7 hours (with ferry transfers, etc.) took 1-1/2 hours instead. We were able to spend an extra 1/2 day on St. John! Seahorse Water Taxi was the perfect solution! They coordinate land-based transfers as well. Looking back, great price for such an excellent service! Highly recommend Seahorse!
