Fabulous surprise trip to meet the Highland Coos (cows)

点评：My partner bought the afternoon experience for me as a sur. Off all the things I thought we might be doing it certainly wasn’t being able to hand feed highland cows apples whilst learning about the bread and the heard that Jo and Tom obviously love and look after. I loved the surprise and we both loved feeding the cows, they are very fussy about their apples, some only want red apples, others only green and a few cheeky ones like Popeye will eat whatever they can snaffle. Tom explained about the hierarchy at apple feeding time but there were loads to go round so any cow that wanted some was not disappointed. There was lots of time to feed both groups and we then walked along the path to see the bull with some of the girls.
After a good hand wash we boarded the tractor/trailer for our afternoon tea and parked in the field right by a large group of the cows and had a lovely afternoon tea. Would really recommend the experience to anyone who likes getting up close and personal to animals and if you are a highland coo fan it’s a must. Tom’s partner (sorry I’ve forgotten her name) looked after us on the trailer making sure teapots were and we had everything we needed.
