The Absolute Best Afternoon Ever!

点评：Wow, what an afternoon we had! I booked the afternoon tea with the highland cow experience and it was absolutely worth every penny! We were met by Jo when we arrived and told we could go and see the cows in the barn as we were early, so we sat feeding them their hay! Once everyone arrived, we then had the opportunity to feed them apples, but only some of them liked the red ones, some only green and we didn't realise how fussy they were! There were a couple that would just eat any apple given to them! We sat and fed these gorgeous apples, whilst Tom taught us all about them. We then moved on to another field to meet King John (their bull) and some of his lady friends, who we also got to feed. We then moved on to yet another field and were greeted by soooo many Highland cows, who all came over to have their apples; it was an absolute dream! We then went back and went on the trailer and had a gorgeous afternoon tea sat in the field surrounded by highland cows. It was the most beautiful setting! Tom's partner (sorry, I didn't catch her name) was a fab host and very friendly. Nothing was too much trouble and we were looked after so well, with our drinks being constantly topped up!
They were the most kind-natured, beautiful animals and it is so clear that they are very well looked after and loved by the family! We absolutely loved that this was a family-run farm that had been in the family for over 100 years, it had a real personal touch to it and Jo and Tom were so knowledgeable about their cows. Despite having 68 Highlands, they knew every single one of their names which was very impressive!
We had the best afternoon and would definitely recommend to anyone that gets the opportunity to go!
