Rustic Setting, Volcanic Mud Bath & Hot Springs

点评：Have just recently been to the Hot Springs on the Island of Efate in Vanuatu, these are not your fluffy bathrobe, Hamman, Sauna & deck chair fancy hot springs with your Soy Chai Latte & fresh juice. But it is worth the visit at 2500 Vatu about AUD$32 Marie who runs the Hot Springs on her family land is lovely & wants to build the business so I am helping by spreading the word, its worth the trip & you are helping a local business. The average wage there is AUD$3 per hour & I'd rather pay direct to the locals than thru a tour company. My friend & I loved its rustic-ness & the friendly locals.
Its very, very rustic (not your Peninsula Hot Springs kinda place) with its volcanic pumice mud bath & 5 different heat levels of spring pools to sit in, yes there is algae in the bottom but when in Takara Hot Springs Vanuatu just relax & enjoy the serenity of the place. We did feel our skin was much softer with the mud bath & kidded ourselves we looked 20 years younger.
Its about an hour & a half from Port Vila, we hired a mini bus & driver for the day to drive us around the island, did a few stops there & back had a great day out. Something different from the regular run of the mill touristy stuff & its supporting the locals
