The best Experience Day, ever!
National Botanic Garden of Wales的点评
点评：I was gifted a birthday surprise visit from my sister and oh my gosh what a day!
We were both booked in on the National Botanical Gardens Wales (NBGW) personal owl experience.
There was a mix up with our understanding where to go and even though we got there in plenty of time, we ended up being late as we were at the wrong entrance (we thought there was only one) but we were still given such a warm, friendly welcome from Simon our tour and experience guide for the day it was if there was no hold up at all.
We were taken on our Experience and was able to hold and fly 3 different owls. Simon was happily telling us all about them individually and as a species and was so interesting. Having an owl on your arm and being so close to such beautiful creatures is an amazing experience that I will never forget.
But that was not all - we were also treated to a Bird Show at the Bird of Prey Centre, with a cup of tea to relax with as we watched various birds; snowy owl, falcon, buzzard and golden eagle soar happily around us, whilst another keeper would tell us all about them, with a great sense of humour and knowledge. Simon told us not to leave straight after as since it was Feb/March visit, there was one more treat in store:
We had the option of holding either the Snowy Owl or the Golden Eagle on our arm!
We both agreed on the eagle - I mean, how many can drop into a conversation that whilst they may not be wearing the latest trends or have the best perfume to wear, that they HAVE held a Golden Eagle! The chance to be up close to and hold such a majestic and amazingly gorgeous, powerful bird is just something you cannot give up - he was breathtaking!
Again, Simon and every member of staff we encountered that day was amazing. He was patient, good natured and good humoured and you could tell that the birds meant a lot to him and they were so well looked after.
This is a huge review I know and thank you for reading, but there is just so much I could enthuse over, it really was made THE best day I can recall. I would totally recommend NBGW, their Bird of Prey Centre and especially Simon for their totally entertaining and well thought out Experience package. I have so many amazing memories to keep, thank you!
