阿黛浓艺术博物馆的点评
点评：The art museum is located just outside the central train station in Helsinki and looks impressive from the outside. We visited Helsinki during a very rainy period at the end of December and this was the perfect indoor activity for our last day here.
The art is displayed in a good sequence through the main collection on the first two floors but the third floor contains a Gothic Modern exhibit. The main floor had plenty to check out on its own including a very interesting interactive exhibit that was tucked away. The Gothic Modern area was easily the busiest part of the museum and was very well done with several paintings, sculptures and displays for the exhibit. The museum adds and borrows pieces through private donations or for studying so there are many popular works from artists all over Europe but the focus is on Finnish art.
Tickets are 22 euros and there are special rates for seniors, students and children. There is a city pass in Helsinki that this museum is included in so if you plan on doing a lot the pass might be worth the cost. You aren't allowed to bring much into the exhibition areas but there are plenty of free lockers and coat hangers to keep your items. You can easily spend 2 hours here or more depending on your interest level. The cafes (one on the main floor and one at the end of the main exhibit) would have been a nice stop if we had more time.
