点评：The parking set-up is a racket for the island to generate revenue and stick it to families who have small children and can’t make sense of the vague and poorly placed signs. If you blink and miss the ONE entrance sign that says you need to pay for parking (prior, which the sign clearly does NOT say) you will get a $150 ticket. To pay or contest the ticket you deal with a company in New York! HUH?!The vague, misleading and confusing signs are posted with this review. I should note that when we parked there were NO signs the whole length in front of the 10+ cars around us. The main sign we later found at the entrance suspiciously has wording covered up , and two other signs that say nothing about paying BEFORE or PRIOR to getting out of your car. Please look up the term “entrapment” and it will give you an idea of how Sanibel officials are escalating the revenue for the hurricane damage. So sad for law abiding tourists. They must not realize people talk about poor experiences on vacations. We are sticking to Siesta Key beach for all our future trips. There is a reason it has been voted best beach in the USA and a top beach in the WORLD!
