Bates Green Garden的点评
点评：Bates Green garden is located in the Sussex countryside, with the garden wrapped around a traditional farmhouse. We visited at the end of April, when the adjacent bluebell woods were at their peak. Its not a huge garden, and as a result, you can see elements of it that you could incorporate in your own garden. White there are a few formal features, in April tubs with brightly coloured tulips, most of the planting is in a relaxed and natural style.
It is divided into three areas, with their own character. The front garden has a pond, small lawn, and winding paths through shrubs and small trees. The middle garden has a central lawn, with shaded seating. The lovely woodland garden has mature trees, but also garden varieties of native woodland plants. The woodland feel and water make the garden very popular with birds, butterflies and dragonflies.
There are so many fine gardens in Sussex, but its well worth finding the time to visit this gem.
