Monet’s Nympheas were amazing. The crowds were a pain.

点评：My wife and I spent eight days in Paris for the first time together, and bought tickets for the Orangerie for a timed entry. We arrived minutes before our scheduled entry, and had absolutely no problems gaining entry.
The museum was already quite busy for late morning. Our research regarding the experience had told us of how Monet had a direct role in the design of the rooms for displaying the Nympheas, and the care and attention for the presentation of his work was very well done. Unfortunately both rooms were very crowded with people, with people showing little regard for others’ experience of Monet’s work.
The museum is only three levels, with two other exhibitions on the lower level that we spent time walking through. Overall, we spent approximately 90 minutes at this museum, and did not bother looking at the museum store or cafe.
Definitely a highlight to see Monet’s final works. The self-absorbed crowds (of which we were admittedly a part of) was the most significant detractor from the experience.
