Matterhorn Terminal Täsch的点评
点评：Zermatt is not accessible from car and we were worried about getting to Zermatt but we we were pleasantly surprised by a large and clean parkade at Tasch Railway Station and many good parkades nearby. We stayed in Zermatt for one night and our rental was parked here overnight for 17 CHF which we felt was very affordable compared to other parking fees we paid in Switzerland.
The railway station primarily serves Zermatt with the Zermatt Shuttle which runs frequently and about every 20 minutes from 6 am to midnight. The cost of a roundtrip ticket is 17.20 CHF and there were plenty of seats to/from. It is best to set on the left side of the train going into Zermatt for the best view. The right side of the train going to Zermatt is mostly a rock wall/mountain but you can sneak a peak of the Matterhorn from the train. We had came in at night and had no view but enjoyed the fall scenery as we left Zermatt.
The train station had limited staff but ticket machines that offered service in multiple languages and were easy to use. However, I made a mistake and accidentally bought an extra ticket when we got in a little later but lucky for me I was able to sell to another person because I have no clue how I would have gotten a refund. The train station has some vending machines and some large washrooms near the parkade entrance.
