点评:My husband and I just did this trail earlier today — we are two Floridians used to FLAT ground, and I’m less active than my husband, but I survived! We started at the Kōkeʻe State Park entrance, just keep driving after the lookout at Waimea and you’ll find it! There was a lot of parking and a clearly marked start to the trail. Very few markings along the way, but the path is clear. Where there are signs, they’ve got a lot of stickers and graffiti over them. We got tips for where to go from others leaving as we were going through. I am a fairly healthy middle aged woman, I can walk 2-4 miles easily, but this is SO different. This may be common sense to a frequent hiker, but if you’re not one, be prepared for pretty rugged paths, steep ups and downs, and if you aren’t a fan of heights, the ridge before continuing to the waterfall might be intimidating. Even though the ground was dry along the path, there were still spots where the sand was loose and easy to slip on. My husband and I were wearing regular running shoes and I would have preferred something with more grip. I also wish I had brought water - bring water!
If you like hiking, I can see this being fun. If you just want views of the Canyon, what is seen at 3400 feet at the Waimea Canyon Lookout is gorgeous enough!

如果你喜欢徒步旅行,我认为这很有趣。如果你只是想欣赏峡谷的景色,那么在 3400 英尺高的威美亚峡谷瞭望台看到的景色已经足够美丽了!
