Well worth a visit
RSPB Leighton Moss Nature Reserve的点评
点评：Newly retired, I took the train for a first-time visit to the sanctuary. As promised on the website, just a few minutes walk from Silverdale station and was well signposted.
I was there before the visitor centre opened, but the 2 staff that were there to greet were very friendly, helpful and informative. RSPB membership was mentioned, rightly, but there was no hard sell.
All staff I met were lovely, I only had a coffee in the cafe which was fine and there are picnic tables.
On the whole, a great visit - yes there are some serious birders, but it is a bird sanctuary and everyone I met as I was walking round was friendly. Visited a fair few of the hides which were well signposted and as it was a Thursday in school term time, not busy.
I was aware of the entrance charge from the website and the half price fee for taking public transport is definitely a bonus!
