OK - Riverview campground too open - no trees or shade. Avoid group camp areas!

点评：The park is huge and beautiful! We had reserved an electric campsite in the Riverview campgrounds - took one look at the site and went right back to headquarters to try and find a better site. All the electric sites near a tree or two were booked which was not surprising. The campground looked like an open field with no trees, shrubs nothing! Absolutely no privacy between any of the campsites. The gal at headquarters kindly gave us a nice spot in the horse camp! There were trees, shrubs, privacy and a very nice bathroom UNTIL a huge group moved into the group camp area. Oh my gosh - they ignored all rules - literally screaming until 11:30 pm (why wasn't this enforced?). They threw rags down the toilets, totally plugging up the entire bathroom - water ran everywhere in both the men's and women's bathrooms. A septic company had to be called to unplug the mess they made. My daughter and grandson wandered over to the group campsite on Sunday morning and were appalled at the mess and the disrespect for this beautiful area. They picked up two trash bags of garbage - chicken bones, bottle caps. There were piles of rice and other garbage thrown into the weeds. The outhouse was full of beer cans and trash. There is a second campground with trees and shrubs that is much nicer but with only about eight electric sites and far from the group camp areas!!
