Tumalog falls - the most Magical and Graceful waterfalls in the world!!! :=)

点评：As mentioned in one of my reviews for Oslob Whale Shark watching experience by Island Trek Tours, as an add-on we included Tumalog falls in our itinerary which is also just closed by only 5 mins drive away from beach port. Getting there you need a car or motorbike because its very uphill meaning literally up in the mountains. So after around 5 mins driving uphill we arrived at the main entrance with motorbikes waiting. To get there we each must take 1 motorbike and it takes maybe 3 to 5 mins to get to the base of the falls which is another uphill. The road are paved and safe so its pretty catered to the safety of tourists and visitors. Entrance to the waterfalls is 200 PHP and motorbike costs 50 PHP. Tumalog falls is famous for its cascading waterfalls from a rugged cliff dropping into a pool of Turqoise Blue waters, scenic landscapes, stunning sceneries and the famous free Water Spa performed by its resident fishes - I could see some Tilapia and Gopis to name a few. Locally its also called "Toslob falls" or "Mag-ambak falls" and its inside a forest up on top of Oslob mountains.
Tumalog falls is a place of natural beauty, peace, nature and serenity. If you’re looking for a calming and relaxing experience then this is the place to be. For avid photographers and nature enthusiasts this is also another great place to take those picturesque shots and enjoy this magical waterfalls and the lush, lovely nature surrounding it. What’s more this is an added unique and wonderful activity after Diving with the whale sharks because of so much uniqueness and difference between the two. Our guide Ate Amalia, walked us through the Falls and carried our things, she also served as our devoted Photographers (Thank you so much Ate!!!). I loved its unique entrance saying Welcome to Tumalog falls on 2 Huge Wooden pillars. From where out motorbike stopped we could already see the mighty falls and hear its falling water sounds. Its not a long walk compared to other falls like the one in Laos where we visited last - Kuang Si falls. The falls is well suited for both tourists and hikers because its designed to keep you safe with a paved pathway and stairs, metal railings to support you and guided paths with benches along the way. You are also allowed to swim in the Torqoise Blue shallow waters of the falls but please wear a Water Shoe to protect you from slipping. The first and lowest part of the waterpool system is the shallow waters where you could get a free Water Spa provided by its resident fishes - I could see White tilapias and Gopis. While having your spa you could see the Falls to your left so what an amazing and relaxing experience it is. Next there is a natural rock platform where could you stand in front of the falls and take one of the most fantastic shot of your lifetime!! Surrounded by lush nature of Tropical trees and plants and moss covered limestone rocks with the Falls in between and having your free fish space for just 200 PHP nothing could get better than this!!!
To get near the falls itself, there is a paved pathway on your left side which is pretty safe and convenient. On your left are limestone rocks and on your right are the streaming, gentle Torqoise blue waters of the falls. The walk is uphill you will get onto a high platform with wooden barricades for your safety. Along the way there are many beauty and IG worthy spots to take your most memorable and picturesque photos and videos. And as you go near the falls and go higher the spots are even quite unique and scenic!!! We took a couple of lovely photos and videos with some help from Ate Amalia which we will definitely cherish and treasure forever. Since we went on rainy season the waters are full, abundant, strong and crystal clear Turqoise blue. Standing 100 m high the waters of Tumalog falls drop like a cascading curtain and layers in Harmony and Symphony against the limestone rock cliff formation. The waters are not too cold compared to other falls and the pools are shallow (just waist deep) but rocky and slippery so be careful when wading through the rocks and pool. The sound is not as loud as I expected and its just the perfect roaring gentle sound. Its music to our ears in short. If you go in Summer, the waters will be lesser so the perfect shot is really durign the Rainy season. There are many stand alone rock formations below the cascading waters of the main pool and a small cave where you could wade, walk and take your lovely photos and videos. Be careful because its wet and slippery out here so extra precaution but the views are amazing!!!! This is the best spot to take your memorable and astonishing photos and video below the cascading waters of the pools. We even saw a Rainbow against the backdrop of the mystical waters of the pool.
After spending some relaxing time and marvelling at the magical beauty of Tumalog falls main falls we decided to go back and along the pathway you would see the cascading waters downhill. The 2nd layer is quite rocky and waters flow strong and very shallow so its not suitable for swimming. And finally the last spot if the Fish spa pool where as mentioned earlier we had our free spa from the lovely resident fishes of the pool.
After more than an hour enjoying and relaxing at Tumalog falls its time to go back to the city. There is a toilet/changing area right after the entrance sign. The facility is not that modern but we could work with it. We changed our wet bathing suits here back to our casual dry clothes. Then we took another motorbike ride back to the main road which is even steeper so beware and extra cautious if your have heavy bags with you just like me. Ate Amalia bid us farewell upon arriving at our Sedan back to Cebu city and it was one of the best and happiest waterfall experience we had because of Ate Amalia and Island Trek tours. Together she and Kuya Jonathan organized, managed, guided, and took care of us in both Oslob Whale Watching and Tumalog Falls experience!!! And not to mention those Fantastic and Beautiful photos and videos she did which will be with our memories in hearts and minds forever!!!
