点评：Have been here a few times as a family, and each time, have found the staff to be unwelcoming.
This time, a lady demanded to check my bag, and even though I only had water in our own reusable bottles from home, she looked at me like I was a piece of dirt. I explained that my husband was in the queue purchasing snacks from the cinema and she just shrugged and didn't say anything.
When I popped back out to get a soft drink from the lobby, I asked what drinks were available and one of the ladies didn't even answer me, she just stared at me and gestured with her hand at the drinks behind her (which you can't see when you're in a queue in the crowded lobby area, hence why I asked her what there was available).
It feels like their attitude is that they can treat people how they like due to the cheaper prices they charge, and yes, their prices are reasonable, but it wouldn't hurt to be politer to their customers. I'm all for supporting local businesses, but when the new Vue cinema in Basildon is now charging only a few pounds extra to see a film, and the sound quality is better, and the staff are friendlier (audio not great when sat at the back in Screen 1 at Rio), I will likely go elsewhere in future.
