Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary的点评
点评：On a safari, spotting the big cats rank as the highlight of game drives and when you spot a prime cat like the Queen of the Wild at Lion's Rock on your first drive, that's massive.
We went straight to Taita Hills Safari Resort & Spa to a warm reception followed by a quick lunch. It was followed by a stroll to the Educational Centre and afterwards, we piled into our safari vehicles and went on a late afternoon game drive through the wildlife sanctuary.
After spotting the usual suspects, zebra, impala, eland; a radio call came to our driver from another driver that a lion has been spotted. Quickly, he swung into overdrive and we went searching. There she was in her majestic strides, unperturbed by the activities around her — safari vehicles, tourists, clicking cameras and all. She just stroked along — the Queen of the Wild. It was exciting.
Later on, we had to pass another route because an elephant had mounted a road block.
We had a game drive the next morning and we spotted a herd of elephants crossing the road. Two big cats were spotted camouflaged in the savannah grassland. Baboons, giraffes, elanda, zebras, etc...
Great experience.
