点评：We went canyoning with West Madeira Tours, and it was an unforgettable experience! We had tried canyoning before in France, but this was on another level.
The guides were fantastic — professional, funny, and always focused on safety. They also shared interesting facts about the islands, the environment, and the local plants, which made the trip even more special. All the equipment was high-quality and in excellent condition. The whole experience was very well organized: communication was smooth, responses were quick, and we received clear instructions about where the hike would take place.
What we really appreciated is that, unlike other companies where the level is vague (“beginner” or “intermediate”), West Madeira Tours told us in advance exactly which canyon we’d be doing. It turned out to be the perfect choice — challenging, fun, and absolutely beautiful.
During our stay in Madeira, we did many great activities: the classic mountain hikes, levada walks, karting, carriage rides, and swimming in the natural pools. All of them were wonderful, but nothing compared to canyoning. If there’s one thing you absolutely shouldn’t miss in Madeira, it’s this.
If you haven’t gone canyoning, you haven’t really experienced Madeira. And if you do go canyoning, choose West Madeira Tours — they’ll give you a day you’ll never forget.
