点评：I visited with my wife, grandson and two little dogs in late August 2025. There was plenty of car parking followed by a short fairly steep climb to reception. My wife (who is temporarily disabled) didn't like the climb as the path was a bit rough. However, this was well offset by the wonderful welcome in reception. Tea room first for coffee, then book for the underground experience for my grandson and me. We were advised to leave the dogs on the surface because of lots of metal steps. One would probably have coped, the other not. My wife sat with the dogs while we had our underground tour (self guided with six audio description points). She needed the toilet while we were away so the very helpful man in the tea room looked after the dogs to the extent of taking them out for a wee while she was in the (spotlessly clean) loo. That was certainly going the extra mile! My wife spent a bit of money in the gift shop which was well stocked with gifts at various prices. Meanwhile, the boy and I were enjoying the sights underground. On our return it was time for something to eat and another coffee before saying goodbye. I was allowed to reverse my car up the drive to the reception door to make life easier for my wife with lots of thanks to the lady and gentleman who were in charge that day. And I should have said that the price of admission to the mine was quite reasonable for the 45 or 50 minutes we spent underground.
