点评：The medina itself is a beautiful quaint little bazaar, and lots of little shops. We visited 1st time at night and our taxi driver khalifa dropped us off and murmured something to some guy near the corner shop. Taxi left but the guy started asking us were in nour hotel and he works there and has seen us...he even pulled out his business card to show us. But people we later found this a scam...he took us to a shop and said dresses from 5 dinar but when the bill was actually given for 1 dress, 2 pashmina shawls and 1 camel he said 480 dinars but charged 210, this was 1st scam of tunisia. Apparently a few days later we sat in same taxi and told him he scammed us 210 the guy was on the phone angry and mentioned commission so obviously taxi drivers bring these people tourists to rip off.
The rest of medina was nice but as you enter the 1st big shop on right side started getting aggressive when we didnt buy. We were just looking. There were 4 of us girls so we answered back but i can imagine how many tourists they would scam. Theres a lovely little open medina cafe area under a few large trees in centre of medina, we sat down and a lovely guy came and took our drinks order. Very pleasant.
But people be very careful when buying anything they will mark up to 200% on charges when they know we are tourists. Local people its super cheap. Like kairouan medina is fab as we went with our local driver so they didnt rip us off there. I made more videos then pics but yes pls be careful
