点评：A small temple, located at the end of a narrow road. As per the locals, Lord Rama & wife Sita took rest here while returning from Lanka after defeating Ravana. Rama created this well (Kund) using his 23rd arrow to quench thirst of Sita. To note that Lord Rama has already exhausted 22 arrows for similar actions inside Ramanathapuram Temple.
For the glimpse of this mythological event, a narrow cemented bridge like pathway will take you (towards the sea) to a small well at the end. One local guy will insist you to taste the water. To realize the difference, first he'll fetch water from the sea below using his bucket tied with a rope. Next he'll fetch water from the well and it is really fresh water and doesn't taste salty at all.
It may be an artesian well type of phenomenon. The mixing with sea water is prevented by building a cemented barrier around the fresh water source.
The beach around this area is not that clean. Stray dogs are roaming around. Fishing nets are also kept here & there.
A small place with few shacks is nearby. Interestingly its name is Ocean Paradise Beach Resort and Seafood Restaurant. However, it is noway closer to any of these and not at all a restaurant.
Overall you can spend half an hour or so to enrich your Rameswaram experience.
