点评：We had a very enthusiastic young man by the name of Flynn that took us through the A'bunadh tasting. Flynn went through the process of distillation in a way that simplified things for the layman. I have visited so many of the distilleries in my lifetime and found this to be one of my favourite tastings. I particularly enjoyed his explanation and the history behind why they started using sherry casks in the maturation process, never heard the history behind the casks before. Other distilleries I have been to would tell us what is used and the impact on the taste and the colour of the whisky but not how it came about that they used barrels in the first place. Why sherry barrels were introduced etc, we loved it and so much appreciated learning something new. Of course it does help that A'bunadh is one of our favourites, it was by accident we tasted it some years back as my husband and I are very big Islay whisky drinkers and prefer peaty malt whisky. However A'bunadh is just an exquisite whisky and has peaked our interest in the Speyside region. We will be back, of that I have no doubt. Thank you!
