Route guidance plus logistics... that's what you get.

点评：My guided hike was like having a friendly version of google maps route guidance with logistics support for huts and transport. That might be fine in perfect weather, where everyone is ok. But do not expect the guide to ask you about your equipment and clothes, or discuss whether they are suitable for the particular conditions, or your view about the situation. Do not expect the guide to talk about the area. Do not expect the guide to be responsible for you. In my case it was clear the guide's responsibility was to get from beginning to end, and cost was a factor. In my case, with bad weather, that meant more risks than were necessary or reasonably expected. So long as you know what you are, or are not getting, for your money it is fine. I would not use this company again because I expect much more from a guided trip. Unlike most on this trip, I was an experienced multi day hiker and could make my own decisions whereas most of the group put total trust in the guide even with several questionable outcomes. It worked out in the end. No one died or got hurt. That feels fortunate. Pre hike briefing notes are not adequate, though for experienced people they are enough to understand what you are getting into. It's not a Disney ride.
