Superb in every aspect of design, experience, and enjoyment
The Denver Center for the Performing Arts的点评
点评:DCPA is heaven for anyone who loves the performing arts. And I say this as someone who has experienced similar centers in New York, Washington DC, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. I hadn't expected so much when I had to move last year to Denver for medical treatments. I was most surprised by Opera Colorado, though financially constrained to mounting only three annual productions with somewhat spare stagings. As to the quality, though, Denver holds its own in this listener's uneducated opinion. As for the Colorado Symphony, I'm floored by the programming, presentation, and quality. Less than a week ago, I was reduced to tears by Gershwin's Concerto in F and Dvorak's Symphony No. 9 (The New World). As to the practicalities of facilities and navigation, I've never known better. Volunteers are the engines of this achievement, and not once have I found anything other than knowledge, cheer, and helpfulness. At one time, culture in America's Interior West may have been oxymoronic. Denver throws that notion in the dustbin of history.
