One of, if not, the best venues in KC for concerts and Broadway shows

点评：I've seen quite a few shows here over the years and it's probably my favorite venue in Kansas City.
It is outdoors, but they installed large fans to help with air circulation (it helps some), but the acoustics are amazing. Truly in every seat you're going to have a great sound experience and with the big tvs on the sides of the stage you'll be able to see a lot of what is going on too, even if your view of the stage is a bit far back.
Recently I saw Smashing Pumpkins, Jewel, The Pixies and Modest Mouse. In the past I've also seen Counting Crows, Live, Ben Folds, Violent Femmes, Weird Al Yankovic, Goo Goo Dolls, Soundgarden, Jack White, Robert Plant and Alison Krauss, Tori Amos, and more! A lot of great acts come to this venue.
In addition to concerts they have Broadway shows too. They are great performances and again the acoustics are really good for these.
Some shows do have a new phone policy, where they provide a bag to put your phone in. It runs smoothly.
They have also done some things in the interior portion. We went to an immersive Monet and Friends Alive experience and it was well done.
Oh parking is now free and while you may have to walk a bit on somewhat uneven grass it's mostly well organized.
It is also a clear bag venue. They have signs up as you walk towards the venue and their email communications remind you of this policy as well.
If you have the opportunity to see something at this venue you should take it. They are often part of the $20 or $25 ticket specials and even if seated far from the stage it's a great show.
