点评：My good friend and I met Yassine downtown in Skoura after making a reservation recommended by a local man we met in the Palmerai. I recognized Yassine from various online reviews and pics of things to do in Skoura... and we all hung out for a bit and chatted. We mentioned that we had considered a quad (ATV) ride in the desert, and Yassine made a few calls. Despite two of the companies he typically works with being booked up for the afternoon, he was able to arrange a guided ride into the desert through a friend and colleague who lives in a small Berber village nearby in the mountains.
We met up with him at his home... and off we went! I have to say... it was the highlight of my trip! Hands down! We spent 8 days in Morocco and drove 650 miles to different areas of the country... and we had an amazing time. But that guided quad ride was fantastic! And, after we finished the ride, we went up to the rooftop terrace of the Berber gentleman who supplied the quad and guided the desert ride and shared tea and snacks - almonds and walnuts from his garden! We sat there laughing and telling stories and asking each other questions and what not as we watched the sun set. An unforgettable experience!!
Yassine was kind, friendly, fluent in French, English and Arabic... and he was able to pull together an absolutely wonderful adventure in short order!! I cannot recommend a tour with Yassine enough! Also, I should probably mention that I wish we had met him BEFORE we tried to drive our rental car through the Palmerai on our own. Haha. The roads are a bit narrow and in some places the road gets a bit tricky, as the sides have washed away or what have you (yikes!)... So, although we did have a bit of an adventure and we chatted with some wonderful local people (and got great dinner recommendations from them), we probably should have called Yassine and set that up with him too! Ha! Oh well.. live and learn! Anyway, you can reach him through any of the contact info here.. but to make your life even easier, here is his phone number - +212 666-350064. He is on WhatsApp, of course. I cannot recommend him enough if you are in the Skoura/Ouarzazate area of Morocco! Thank you, Yassine!! Hope you are well, brother!
