Mercure Warwickshire Walton Hall Hotel Spa的点评
点评：Never again. One star would be for the lovely original hall and the efforts of the woman at reception who was on her own and limited as to what she could do. My Daughter booked this as a Birthday treat for us to share. My Granddaughter came along and my Daughter booked an additional room for herself and her Husband which cost more than my room which was a Groupon deal. Her full price booking didn't give them access to the pool or breakfast included. My room card didn't work so I went back to reception and she gave me two more just to be on the safe side. Neither of them worked so back to reception I had to go for the second time. She apologised and said she would upgrade me to one of their "privilege rooms". I have attached pictures of this room and so I dread to think what the original room would have been like. A massive site with no real guiding signs. Other people were wandering around utterly bewildered as to where their room was. Especially if it was in the original Hall. Mine was in the coach house and was relatively easy to find but you can see from the pictures it doesn't look like it has been touched since the 1980's. Be aware also that the hotel do not own the pool and spa so if you don't have a deal that includes it you will have to pay £12 per person to go for a swim (same price for children). The pool is only open for a few hours a day and it doesn't mention on the website that you have to pay to use it because it was sold off. This hotel looks and feels like it is being run on a shoe string and reminded me of the Britannia chain that buy up old run down hotels and run them as they are. I did wonder if it will be "closed to the public" soon 😉. I am so glad I was only there for one night. Breakfast was included in the deal and was average. Save your money and do your research for another hotel.
