点评:I absolutely loved it. It is so completely different than other buildings I have seen. You can visit it inside for free or order a tour with a guide. I would recommend seeing it, too from the tower of the Mother Theresa cathedral tower. You can see the whole building from a distance. The current building of the National Library of Kosovo was inaugurated on November 25, 1982. Designed by Croatian architect Andrija Mutnjaković, the library spans 16,500 square meters. Its distinctive architecture features 99 domes of varying sizes, zenithal windows, and an exterior entirely wrapped in a metal fishing net, each element carrying specific symbolic meaning.
Inside, the library includes two reading rooms with 300 and 100 seats respectively, a periodicals reading room, spaces for special collections, cataloguing and research areas, a 150-seat amphitheater, and a 75-seat meeting hall. The library is capable of holding approximately two million volumes, with its collections stored across two underground levels that are not open to the public.
