点评：A very good, high-quality city museum, open year-round and free admission, which is very convenient and encourages locals and tourists alike to visit at any time and multiple times. We enjoyed the well-presented Impressionist paintings, but our favorite was the exhibition of exquisite Fabergé jewelry. I'm not sure if this is a permanent exhibition (check with the museum or online), but if it's still on display today, it's worth a visit. Fabergé pieces aren't just the ubiquitous eggs, but also outlandish flower-shaped objects or animal figurines, adorned with diamonds and pearls.
The museum has a wonderful, large gift shop and a café. You can also sit outside, under the shade of the trees, at the tables and beside the streams of water that run around the museum building, and admire and take photos next to the contemporary works of art installed outside.
