点评：My wife and I have just returned from lunch at this eatery, and, although I gave it a very positive review last time we ate there, unfortunately this time was nowhere near as perfect an experience – still clean and tidy, with the same lovely atmosphere, and pleasant and professional staff, just a bit of an issue with the food. We both ordered from the lunch menu which is incredibly good value, made even better by the fact that I get 20% off with my Blue Light card. We both chose the chicken goujons as starters and the fish and chips for our mains. The place was quite full, so we weren’t expecting our food to appear anytime soon after ordering, but we didn’t have too long to wait for the starter. Now the goujons were hot and tasty, and the dip was very nice, but the greens on the salad had seen better days – they certainly weren’t fresh and crisp like they should have been. Anyway, still not too bad a first course. Now onto the main gripe of the meal; the fish and chips. It was a bit of a longer wait after the plates were cleared from our first course for the main course to arrive, but as stated the place was very busy, so not a real issue. However, the fish and chips were absolutely covered in salt. Now I hate salt, and even though my wife likes salt, she was quite agitated by how much was spread over the meal. We really should have sent this course back, but as typical Brits we shook as much of the salt off the meal and ate it anyway. This really spoiled a lovely, hot, well-cooked meal and as we left we told a member of staff about the ruination of the main course by the chef. She apologised and agreed that the meal should have been sent back. This episode will not put us off returning as everything else was perfect – we’ll just ensure that we ask for the meals without the thick layer of salt in future!
翻译：我和妻子刚从这家餐馆吃完午饭回来。虽然上次来这里用餐时我给了它很高的评价，但这次的体验却远不如上次完美——餐厅依然干净整洁，氛围也一如既往地温馨舒适，服务员也热情周到，只是食物有点问题。我们都点了午餐套餐，价格非常实惠，而且我的蓝光卡还能享受八折优惠，真是锦上添花。我们都点了鸡柳条作为开胃菜，主菜是炸鱼薯条。餐厅里人很多，所以我们下单后并没有指望菜会很快上桌，但开胃菜很快就上来了。鸡柳条热乎乎的，味道也不错，蘸酱也很好吃，但是沙拉里的蔬菜看起来不太新鲜——它们远没有达到应有的新鲜爽脆的程度。不过，作为一道开胃菜，总体来说还算可以。接下来要说说这顿饭最令人失望的地方：炸鱼薯条。第一道菜上桌后，主菜等了一会儿才上，不过正如之前所说，餐厅生意很火爆，所以也算不上什么大问题。然而，炸鱼薯条上撒了厚厚一层盐。我本人很讨厌咸味，虽然我妻子喜欢吃咸的，但她看到这道菜上撒了这么多盐，还是非常不高兴。我们真应该把这道菜退回去，但典型的英国人，我们还是把盐抖掉一些，然后硬着头皮吃了下去。这真的毁了一道美味、热乎乎、烹饪得恰到好处的菜肴。离开的时候，我们跟一位服务员说了厨师毁了这道主菜的事。她道了歉，也同意这道菜应该退回去。这次的小插曲不会影响我们下次再来，因为其他一切都很完美——我们以后只会点餐时要求不要撒那么多盐！
