点评：I visited the WH children's museum during the week day with my 1.5 year old and my friend who had a 2 year old. I was not expecting much especially after reading these reviews. However, I was surprisingly delighted in our experience at the museum! It opened at 10AM and we were one of the first to arrive. The admission was free for my little one so I paid the $13 admission for adults. FYI, the opening time shows up as both 9AM and 10AM on their website but it is 10AM. The woman at the front was so nice and I could tell enjoyed spending time with the little ones. The museum is made up of rooms with different stations (for various age groups). I had read the museum was geared for kids 2+ but my 1.5 year old still had so many things to interact with. For example, the first room we entered was the "little detective" science room. They had a station with large plastic test tubes in a test tube tray that you could fill with different large pom poms and for older kids a pattern you could fill the tubes with based on color. They also had plastic tweezers that the little ones can practice their dexterity and use to pick up the pom poms. There was a station that I see at most children's museums where you can take different fabrics and it goes up an vaccuum and blows it up into the air which I saw a bunch of kids enjoying. Another stations that had some interesting bugs to look at...There were about 5-6 science stations in that one room. We perused a few of the other rooms and my little one loved having the space to run and interact with various people. In a few rooms there were people working there and guiding the activities and stations.
At 11AM they had an animal encounter which was getting to pet a ferret which a man walked around the room letting the kids touch one at a time and then talking about ferrets. There were many snakes, turtles, and other reptiles throughout the room. We had a wonderful time and we will definitely be back!
