点评：I joined a hike from Dana to Little Petra with Mohammed, our Bedouin guide, along with three German travelers who had booked the same trek. It turned out to be a fantastic adventure. Mohammed brought the journey to life with his deep knowledge and genuine passion. He shared fascinating stories about his tribe, their traditions, and everyday life in the desert. Whether it was a recipe, a survival technique, or a tale about the stars, Mohammed had something interesting to tell. He often collaborates with archaeologists and knows the terrain like it's second nature. Plus, he has a great sense of humor and a calm, patient demeanor.
Each evening, our camp was set up in breathtaking spots with panoramic views. We were treated to delicious meals, cooked by another Mohammed, with help from a second guide named Ali. The evenings around the campfire were full of good food and great company, creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
After exploring Petra, we headed to Wadi Rum with Mohammed’s friend Salim, who acted as both our driver and cook. He arranged a three-day journey through less-traveled areas, showing us some of the most stunning parts of the desert.
I highly recommend Mohammed and his team to anyone looking for an authentic experience in Jordan. My month in the country was unforgettable, and it was this kind of meaningful adventure that made it so special.
I’m already planning to return with friends to hike from Petra to Wadi Rum next time.
