Informative and fun sheep demo

点评：Went to the sheep dog demo last night and really glad we went. Gary was really knowledgeable and informative but also amusing in his delivery. It was great to hear how all the family was involved and worked together but also how the farm was built up in the first place.
It was clear to see how well cared for the dogs were, and also the sheep. Even though we went on the hottest day of the year it was clear to see they had their animals welfare as top priority. The dogs were not worked hard and swapped regularly and also the sheep weren’t pushed at all and also swapped regularly. All the dogs had a skip bucket of water to cool off in whenever they wanted and kept in the shade until working.
They were all happy to talk to us after the demo and also answer any questions. Also got to have a cuddle of one of their sheep dog puppies.
It was great hearing about how the farm all started up from the beginning and how they had also diversified in selling the meat from their animals through their farm shop they also have.
As someone who works with farm animals on a much smaller scale, I thought it was great how they were trying to inform public how much work is involved in farming and also how much of a good resource sheep fleece is.
Will definitely be back to watch another demo before the end of summer
