Interesting site but very poor guiding experience

点评：The site was interesting but as the audio guides were not working, we were shown around by a guy whose English was limited and was using his phone’s torch to navigate us around.
We were not allowed to spend time with the artefacts and at the beginning of the tour, we had to shout from the pit that we were standing in to the engineers who were controlling the lights to start the tour as they were busy chatting amongst themselves.
One lady was trying to translate the guide to her group but she wasn’t given enough time to do so. I would have expected with the audio guides out of order that the staff would allow at least extra time to accommodate the visitors.
I understand that machines break and that is ok. However, I would have expected the staff to be better prepared and organised to manage a situation like this. The staff’s attitude took away from this experience, which is a shame considering it is not cheap and high in demand. Someone needs to review the procedures there.
