Family Reunion and a disappointing caterer experience

点评：We had our family reunion in late June 2024. Several of us stayed at the park in the cabins, brick building and lodge. There was a lot of things for families to do, horseback riding, jeep rides, hiking, tubing, kayaking, nightly shows, etc. There's also a restaurant on site
The lodging was overall clean and kept the rustic feel. The majority of the brick units don't have elevators nor does the lodge so keep that in mind when making reservations.
We reserved the smaller Buffalo Barracks Hall. It had a well equipt kitchen and the rental cost for the day was quite reasonable.
Unfortunately there was only one catering option I was able to find. The original quote I received from Grandma's catering was $20-$30 per person. Unfortunately the week of the event I was notified the catering was going to be $43 PER PERSON.. Way to late to make any changes or find another option. Then at the event we realized she had made WAY TOO MUCH FOOD. I'm sure that's why the cost was so high. Then we had to deal with all the leftovers and where to put them since the majority of us didn't live close by.
