Winton Castle的点评
点评：The Bromsgrove Rugby Club U16s recently descended upon Winton Castle Highland Games, and what a day it was. If there’s a better place to discover hidden talents for welly wanging, caber tossing, and axe throwing, we’ve yet to find it.
From the first throw to the final tug of war, the whole team got stuck in. The plank race had us wobbling, the hay bale throwing tested muscles we didn’t know we had, and welly wanging quickly became the unexpected fan favourite. Let’s just say some of the throws had serious distance… and occasionally questionable direction.
What really made the day special was the people running it. The hosts and instructors were amazing—friendly, encouraging, and clearly passionate about what they do. They made sure everyone understood the activities, kept things safe, and brought plenty of humour and energy to the whole experience.
Adults and children alike were cheering, competing, and fully embracing the spirit of the Highland Games. The atmosphere was brilliant, the activities were spot on, and it was the perfect mix of friendly competition and good humour.
