World of James Herriot的点评
点评：We absolutely loved delving into the history of the real James Herriot (pen name). The museum is in the actual home of the vet who practiced in this area. The filming location for the PBS series is in western North Yorkshire, and we had stayed there on a previous trip as we were not aware of this delightful venue at the time. One walks through the house and can explore room by room at one's leisure. After walking through the house, there is a separate section that is devoted entirely to the filming of the original series that ran for many years on BBC.
Upstairs there was a veterinary medical museum as well as a kids museum with a variety of interesting games that introduce children to the life of a country vet in times past.
This was worth every penny of the admittance fee.
Just to note, one must park in the main pay & display lot in central Thurso as the museum does not have its own designated parking lot.
