点评:It was suggested that we took our grandchildren to Rock Up in Walton on Thames, and although we were a little apprehensive of the climbs etc. as grandparents, we could not have been more delighted at our experience. The young man at the entrance was charming and friendly and told us where to go for the safety briefing which he explained was "obligatory". Far from being upset we listened for around 20 minutes about how everything worked and the teacher put on all the safety harnesses to every child, which was excellent.
As it was our first time we got arm bands and a light jacket, so that we could go in to help the children connect to the safety harnesses of each climb. There were plenty of staff checking everything as well as ourselves, making sure that all was safe. The attention to the safety details was beyond reproach.
The grandchildren now had 55 minutes to climb on "everything" and wow there were amazing walls to clamber up - zip wires, wooden bridges, ropes and a high wire to walk across. Frankly, it was a joy to watch and the smiles on our grandchildren's faces was worth the entrance fee.
The younger grandchild was 8 years old and just met the 1.2 metre height requirement so, if I might suggest, the age (for me) and the limit set by Rock Up are a very good parameter to use.
Maybe I am a nervous grandparent but I think taller younger children might be "spooked"
A truly remarkable experience, and I wish Rock Up had been around when I was a child!

Rock Up!
