点评:If George Orwell had favoured winebars over pubs this place might have been his Moon Under Water. It is certainly mine. Unpretentious, reasonably priced (for a winebar), with friendly and knowledgable staff, it offers simple, yet delicious, food made from the best ingredients when master-chef, Harry, is around. Or, when the small kitchen is closed, chose from locally sourced mutton, cheese or chicken pies, hand-made sausage rolls, exceptional cheeses, hams and rare gourmet tinned fish. There is a changing and interesting (small) selection of wines by the glass or buy any of their eclectic selection of bottles for the retail price plus £10 corkage (making this one of the cheapest mark-ups you will find). For non-wine-drinkers some interesting bottled and canned beers are kept in the fridge, while children and dogs are indulged. (I was in two minds about writing this review as, ideally, I would like to keep it to myself but they truly deserve the praise.)
