Poverty Point World Heritage Site的点评
点评：We made this a roadside stop on our way traveling from Arkansas to Mississippi. We had our camper with us, so we parked in the spots furthest from the visitor center.
Start by going inside and paying the entrance fee. From there, watch the movies (about 18 minutes total). See the displays inside and get the self-guided tour of the mounds. Some places we saw said that you can go through with an RV, but the ranger inside encouraged us to unhitch. So we did. You might make it, but unhitching just took us a few minutes. Lastly, we went through the driving park, reading through the tour pamphlet.
These mounds are a world heritage site.
We interacted with two different rangers; both were personable and knowledgeable about mounds in other parts of the country. There were some wasps on the mound steps, but a ranger was coming out to see about dispatching them.
There are indoor and outdoor bathrooms.
