A course so nice we played it twice...!
Sea Pines Golf Course的点评
点评：Our group really enjoyed this course, even though it was quite challenging for mid- to high-handicappers such as ourselves. It was nice being by the Gulf, although the wind was, of course, part of the challenge. The course was in fine shape, and the staff, including the caddies, were all friendly and competent. The food in the restaurant was very good and reasonable priced. The greens fees were also very good. It was a better value than the big resort courses, though those (Pineapple Valley, Black Mountain) were very scenic. We played twice, the first time the course beat us up, as it's not particularly easy for our handicaps. We played a bit better the 2nd time, since we kind of knew what to expect. I believe it's definitely a must-play course for golf lovers in Hua Hin.
A few suggestions for the caddies: don't drive ahead to the golfer's ball if that puts the golfer in front of others about to hit, it's dangerous and doesn't really speed things up that much. Don't talk on the tee while folks are hitting, that's just golf etiquette. Finally, it a golfer wants to look down the line for his putt, be aware of that and don't do the same, making him wait. The caddies were fine, and pretty good reading the (diabolical, fast and subtly sloped) greens. These were common things I noticed with all caddies at all courses I played in Hua Hin.
