The Merchant's House的点评
点评：This vast old Merchants House situated in Marlborough High Street, is probably somewhere that, like us, you walk past dozens of times but never think to venture in. We decided, having read some history about it, that we would finally pay it a visit and are so pleased we did.
It's much larger and there is much more to see than is apparent from it's less than imposing entrance via a shop doorway. You are able to explore the rooms of the house quite freely and there are interesting artefacts from an age of silk and textile merchants. There is a pretty little walled garden to the rear of the rear of the house.
The adjacent shop sells some very nice things, particularly if you are looking for good quality, unusual gifts and not at breathtaking prices!! There isn't a tea room but there are lots of good cafe's etc dotted on and around Marlborough High Street.
