点评：What a fabulous find!!! Calling all lovers of nature, hikers in natural settings, gardeners, and all those just looking for a serene, peaceful setting to meditate or contemplate— this place is for you.
We were greeted at the gate with a warm welcome by the attendant — there is a fee for parking, by the day 10 bucks or if you are a frequent flyer, there is a resident versus non-resident seasonal deal. In retrospect, it was worth every cent.
The place is huge, acres upon acres, with a majority of the upfront gardens planned with a theme — Irish, English, Oriental, Italian, rhododendron… Each beautifully planned with flora and fauna on point, plenty of seating to rest and relax, lots to look at. There were several areas we were not be able to experience firsthand, such as the restaurant at the Irish Garden and the cabins as private events were taking place in both. Nestled up in back are multiple trails in the hills and the woods for those wishing to hike. A large vacant lawn in front was populated with plenty of kids playing organized sports, with an enclosed apiary alongside. Plenty of parking was available for guests.
Impeccably maintained, lovingly utilized. If I lived closer, I’d be there every day.
