点评:Completed the trail with a stock Toyota 4runner off-road premium (with KDSS). I previously owned an Outback, and I would say this trail would be a challenge for an Outback or a RAV4 Adventure or TRD model (Bronco sport, etc. also any Jeep unibody's would be a challange, other SUV's should probbaly never even attempt). There were a couple of portions late in the trail, driving from East side to the West that were moderately difficult before encountering Gemini Bridge. Obviously, depends on the lines you take and how you drive the trail. For any SUV drivers it would push those vehicles to the limit in a few areas in particular. I would not even attempt in an SUV unless you have atleast 9 inches of clearance and a rear electronic locker with clutch packs. Even then, those smaller SUV's without a low range may struggle on a few inclines late in the trail.
Lower end SUV's without electric locking differential should not even try (except for maybe a Wilderness Outback, or possibly a Wilderness Forester). The problem is portions of the trail are quite steep (one part in particular) and vehicles without a proper low range may struggle to generate the torque to climb. And that's the problem with a lot of SUV's, they connot generate the torque in steep rock crawling situations.
It was an awesome trail. Only engaged low range on part of the trail. Otherwise was not a problem, while driving slow and smart. Views are amazing throughout. Highly recommend!
