Good course, but lacks that essential character

点评：The cost of playing this course doesn’t really seem to match the experience. The course itself was pretty and in good shape but what lets it down is the fact that the clubhouse faces the car park and not the course.
After the round, I sat down to have a beer but was disappointed that I had no view of the course and only had this shaded area where smoking was allowed. This is typical of the French way of life but if seated inside I could have avoided this.
Only one beer was on tap, which is not normal, and I was disappointed once again.
The course can be challenging but my group was held up by a group in front playing what I would call an “Ambrose”. They were warned by the Commissaire but they ignored his warning, contributing to a very slow round on a very hot day.
My French partners were also frustrated by this lack of etiquette and kept apologising to me, telling me that this was atypical behaviour.
Whoever designed the clubhouse should be told to install windows to take advantage of the views.
I wouldn’t recommend this course to anyone who is looking for a full golfing experience. By all means play there but organise to go somewhere else to relax and have a meal elsewhere.
